Due to industrial action being taken by members of the RMT trade union, Northern services will be impacted on Monday 8 January, Wednesday 10 January and Friday 12 January. Northern will be able to operate a limited service.

During these hours the overall number of trains running will be significantly reduced. We expect trains we operate will be extremely busy.

Customers with season tickets who decide not to travel due to the strike action, can claim compensation through the Delay Repay scheme.

To claim, please fill out the Delay Repay form. If you have already purchased a ticket, but decide not to travel, a refund can be claimed at the point of purchase.

This is the replacement timetable for 8th, 10th and 12th January:

Bishop Auckland - Saltburn

Passengers can use their rail ticket on Arriva North East bus services to make the journey they would have by rail.

More information is available at:

- or 0800 200 6060 by phone.

On strike days, Northern advise passengers to use journeycheck.com/northern/ for up-to-date train running information.

During Industrial Action, Bishop Trains will open at 07:50 and close at 16:25.
